A spa is a place devoted to overall well-being through a variety of professional services that encourage the renewal of mind, body, and spirit.
~International Spa Association
Poplar Creek Spa provides customized, eco-friendly, all-natural services designed to renew body, mind, and spirit.
We view a spa as a reset button. Indulgent? Not really. Self-care is a constructive stress management technique; an integral part of living a balanced, healthy lifestyle; and an essential element in being able to care for others. As the old saying goes, "You can’t pour from an empty vessel." We aim to invite renewal into the lives of each of our guests so that they may be better able to extend kindness and compassion to those around them. Whether you choose a massage, facial, acupuncture, or other spa service, we know you’ll leave the spa feeling renewed, better prepared to face the rest of your day.
Our original location was surrounded by poplar trees with a creek running by. Our name pays homage to that origin, as well as to our reverence for nature. Evolving out of that reverence for nature and the concept so eloquently put into words by Ram Dass, came a love of trees, and the deep desire to spread a message of acceptance - of ourselves and others. Beauty in all colors, shapes, and sizes. Appreciating you just the way you are.
Who We Are
When you go into the woods and you look at trees, you see all these different trees… and some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of
them are evergreens and some of them are – whatever.
And you look at the tree, and you just – allow it. You appreciate it. You see why it is the way it is, you sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way, and you don’t get all emotional about it, you just allow it.
You appreciate the tree.
The minute you get near humans, you lose all that, and you’re constantly saying, “You’re too this,” or “I’m too this,” or – that judging mind comes in.
And so I practice turning people into trees, which means appreciating them just the way they are.
~Ram Dass
Today, we operate out of the beautiful La Collina business park, convenient yet set apart and surrounded by nature. We strive to conduct business in such a way as to minimize our ecological footprint.
Internally, as a collaborative team, we seek to challenge the status quo in a compassionate manner, through continuous improvement and “how” thinking.
